"Obsessed" more Stampin Up Fabric Owls and Staging the Stamp Show in Puyallup Washington

Yes I think I am Obsessed!!!

I can't stop making these cute little owls!!! While I am cutting them out, I am trying to think of the cutest way to put the fabric, it just makes me happy! I am glad so many of my friends like them so much, because I am not sure what I would have done with all the different ones I have made... the house would just be full of them and my Husband might have to move out to make room for them. lol

Yes these Owls are for sale 15.00 each plus shipping. I have found some cheaper ways to ship, so it can cost from 3.50 to 11.50 depending how many you buy and how you want them shipped, 1st Class or Priority Mail.  I can send you a PayPal Bill to your email. If you want one, email me at
Shurleepumpkin@msn.com with "Owls" in the Subject line!!!

If the owl does not say "Available" email me anyway I might still have the stuff to make you one.

This is Katie!! I love her the most out of my last batch! The "Timeless Portrait" fabric with the faces was kind of hard to match up and you don't get as many owls out of the fabric because of that. The fabric lined up perfect with her arms and body!!! I called her the MIRACLE Owl!

This is Katie hangin out in one of the old windows that we used in the show at Puyallup Fairgrounds in the Pavilion Building. The show is this weekend and ends Sunday at 4pm

This is Kalie and Serena. Kalie is not in SU fabric but Serena has Flitatious fabric on her tummy.

Pictures of the Stamp Show in Puyallup

I staged this "Shabby Chic" look booth.
This is little Jenn hangin on one of the displays. She is made with "Deck the Halls and Twitterpated" SU fabric. I bought this shelf at a County store that was going out of business.
Jenn is Sold

I set up the table with cool old wood boxes under the table and used the barrel for a stand for more clear stamp sets. I love that picket fence box; I got that at JoAnn's last year.

Another view of the same table. You can see my cute owls Dani, Serena and Kimmie as part of the Display.

These old window are great for displays at shows.  That is little "Julia" hangin inside one of the purses.
Julia is Sold

If you look at the ground you can see my old rusty scale, then I put a bunch of background stamps on it as part of the display, It is a really cute idea if I say so myself! lol

More of my Owls hangin out. I put the tall lattice shelf with the old door, I used some dryway screws and hook them both together.

The dresser and the round table are both out of my bedroom. I took so much stuff from my house for this show we could not do it in one load in her van. The white lattice is from my porch that I use as a screen.

So Do You Think It Looks Shabby Chic???

I hope some of you make it to the SHOW!!!

Calvin and Bobby say Bye bye see you next time!!

Greeting Card Kids on an Alligator for A La Card Monkey Girly Card Challenge

Hi Blogging Friends!!

This week at A La Card Monkey we are doing a "Girly" Challenge!!! I just had to make a card with the girl standing on the Alligator, so cute and fun! The Alligator stamp that I had was from "Wild about you" from a few years ago. It is one of my all time favorites, and one of my most used stamp sets.

I used hemp thread as a rope for the Alligator. Even though that Alligator is being ridden like a horse, he sure does have a cute smile and looks happy.

Here is the sketch, I really stuck to it this week.

I used the Poppy Parade marker to outline her dress then used an Aqua Painter to color in the rest of the dress. The rest is all just markers.

You can see that I added Crystal effects to the Alligator to make it look wet. My Husband was having a bad night and I told him to come look at my card and it would cheer him up, he really like it. Do you want to hear what happened to him... if you get sick easy don't read this. Ok so he was in bed and we have a cat that we adopted from "Paws" her name is "Tuesday". She went under the covers in our bed while he was in trying to sleep and Pooped on the bed!! Yes under the blankets! so gross! We are thinking that she came from a Hoarder house before we adopted her. And we are losing our minds!! She peed in the dishwasher the other day.

Stamp sets:

Owl Queen Cards and Weekend with Deanna!!

One Busy Weekend!!

First I went to a Joan Rivers show on Friday night and did not get back until around midnight. She is so funny my Husband and I had a really good time. Then I got up at the crack of dawn to do a class in Seattle area for 16 people!!! Yikes I know. I had to catch the ferry over, then I met up with Deanna and we went to Hobby Lobby and got a few things with our coupons. Then off to the Butterfly class that took 5 hours! Then back to Hobby Lobby to use more coupons!! lol

Deanna and I spent most of Sunday just being lazy until after dinner. We started making some cards with the new stuff we bought at Hobby Lobby.

This is the paper I used for these fun owl cards. Deanna is on her 2nd pack of this paper, when she picked it up she said "Come here my Precious" lol It's "The Paper Studio" paper.

I just cut the little bag out of the paper.

Deanna found this ribbon at JoAnn's, but I found some even better stuff yesterday at Micheal's for 1.99 (on sale this week only) and it was 10 yards. Its a perfect Mellon mambo color same as SU but so much cheaper!!!

You can just see how cute this paper is on this card!

Deanna and I needed some wine after a long day, so we were really laughing hard when I gave the owl a bottle of wine to drink.

This is a fun card, with the black glitter rhinestones and the mini tags made with the Martha Stewart punch.

This is Tricia, she is having a blast making the cards at the Butterfly Stamp Class, this is the second time I have done this class. Deanna and I had a good time hanging with her and friend Jayme Stinehart (she is the one that took the photo). Thanks girls for coming! Can't wait to hang out again!

These are the stamps I found. The "owl" and the "friendship" stamps are from Hobby Lobby and the "Stamp on" and "Priceless" stamps are from the JoAnn's both are in  Lynnwood WA.

The "Nana's Kitchen" paper I found at Hobby Lobby for only 11.99 on clearance. Its DCWV paper.

The "Playtime Past" Graphic 45 paper was also on clearance for only 11.99. I can't wait to make some cards with this stuff. Here is a link to some cards I did with some Graphic 45 School themed paper.

I told a few people that I would show you how I took my photos of my cards. I just use one of the cubes or cubbies that hold a lot of my crafting stuff and put a light above, and it works perfect!

I sit right where my cat Vickie is sitting to take the photos. I got these cubes at Home Depot they are Martha Stewart, I think they were around 35.00 each. They have 9 cubes in each set. I have 2 sets in my Stamp Room.

Batty for You Card for A La Card Monkey "Anything Goes" Challenge

Happy Halloween!!!
I just had to make another card with this set just to say good by!!! Stampin' Up is retiring this set :( and you all know how much I love Halloween! "Batty for you has been in the Catalog for a long time, I should go back to see how many cards I have made with this set! I even did a "Batty for you Stamp Camp a few years ago but, never did get those pictures up on my blog.

Stampin' Up is also saying good by to Concord Crush the purple color on this card. The sad thing about that is, they did not replace it with another Purple!! Why???!

I used markers on the stamp for the sentiment. Gee I really love that bow! I hot glued it on. I have been using the hot glue so much more, I got tired of my buttons and bows falling off my cards. Oh Plus Rosettes hot glue is the only way to go with them.

I used the white smooch spritz, I had to get the light just right so that you can see it.

Stamp Sets:
Batty for You 8pc set 2011-2012 Catalog
Grateful Greetings 12pc set 2011-2012 Catalog
Ink and Paper Colors:
Concord Crush, White, Pumpkin Pie, Old olive
Accessories:
Sponge dauber, 1 inch and 1-1/4 circle punches, Sm Scallop circle, White Smooch spritz, Markers same as ink
Big Shot:
Spider web embossing folder

You are not going to believe this!!!
It's My Desk!!
CLEAN!

This is the part of the room that I do all my work. Most of the time you can not even see the top of my desk. I am very organized but my desk is mostly in Chaos!!

WOW! Some of you that have been to my house, will be shocked by this!!! lol

This is some of my little drawers that are on my desk. I started making labels for everything in my stamp room. It really prints big so I don't have to have my glasses on to see the print. I was having a hard time remembering where things were, so this has really saved me some time.

My Space is just getting more full by the day! I have 3 card racks now in my room and they are all full!!! The one in the picture holds over 250 cards. I have another rack that is just Halloween cards I think it holds around 100.

That is my cat Vickie, she is looking at my chair I set in. She is always there by my side ready to grab my ribbon!! That stool is there for when I take the pictures of my cards. I sit there and in the white box I have my card and take the picture. You can kind of see that the top spot is empty, that is my Photo box. I should have taken a photo of it.
