Celebrate good times with Monkey Challenge

I just had to use my little Sock Monkey Stamp for this fun Monkey Challenge. I love Sock Monkeys, I even had a Sock Monkey Christmas Tree one year... it was so cute!!

This was a quick card to make, the frame is from the Designer Paper that I used. I just stamped the Monkey and then cut it out and put it in the frame.

DSP is Beau Chateau "New" 2011-2012 Catalog

Here is the Sketch that I used, do those drinks look Yummy!!
Go to alacardmonkey.blogspot.com to get started!

I still used the Pennant Builder Punch I just made them smaller.

I put a mark with a pencil on the Punch to get them all to be the same size.

If you look close enough you can see the mark for the DSP so that it's smaller then the Card Stock. This was so much fun, and I just love this size for cards.

This saying cracks me up "It's a Celebration... but only if I come." lol

I used the Paper Colors, Vanilla, Soft Suede and Pink Pirouette.
Here is a peek at Terry's Cute Card, go by her blog and say Hi.

This is what Terry and I are doing this weekend together, that is Terry sitting in the both. It's the 52nd Annual Kitsap Arts & Crafts Festival in Kingston Washington... if you are close come by and say Hi. I am just selling some cards and helping Terry out. It was a really hot day today, and going to be Hotter tomorrow.

Salt and Pepper Monkey Challenge

This week over at A La Card Monkey we are doing a Cooking Challenge. What can you cook up with a little Salt and Pepper? lol My Husband does most of the cooking at our house and I am always telling him to add more Salt and Pepper... So spice it up, girls, and show us your stuff.

As soon as I saw the sketch Terry did I knew what I was going to do. I just love the "Newsprint" DSP. It's only Vanilla and Black.

This was a fun sketch to do this week, I really love how my card turned out.

Just take this salt and pepper sketch, make the card, load it onto the blog post... and you could be one of our Guest Designers the next week at A La Card Monkey!! Does that sound like fun or what!!?

I used the bird punch to make the leaves and the bitty button punch for the flowers. I punched the flower in black then the DSP, with a pearl inside.

I had to use the hot glue gun to get this to stay on the card. Gee's lol

SWAK Mini Cards

Sealed with a Kiss!! How cute are these Mini Cards.? I took my son to his Hair Dresser the other day, he has had the same one for about 3 years now. She was telling me about her boyfriend, and that there one year Anniversary is coming up, but she did not know what day to pick as the day... first kiss, first date, when they met, when he ask to her to be his girlfriend. It was so cute I told her I would make her some Mini Love Notes for him as a gift to her.

I used the "Fancy Favor" bag for holding the cards.

I used the "Red Glitter Paper" for the scallop.

I covered some Hershey's Nuggets in the same paper.

Buttons and Bows Monkey Challenge

Wow a Button and Bows Challenge!! Sounds like so much fun... Right. Then go make a card and join the challenge.
I wanted to use some of my new Paper that I just got "Big Top Birthday".

I was thinking how cute it would be to use buttons for wheels,  like a toy. I just had to make a pinwheel for the elephant. I used a Q-tip for the stick.
What a Cute Little Pig, it made us think of the new Button stamp set.
Challenge goes live 9pm Friday Night. Contest starts Midnight.

I used the Pinwheel paper, cut two of them out and used a brad to put them together.

A Button and a Bow!!

I wanted to share what I do with my DSP when I get it. I get my Catalog out and put the name of the paper and all the colors that are in it on the back with a black permanent ink pen. I also include the date and catalog number. I write it really big, so that at a glance I can see all the info.... and wow it saves a lot of time if you are a Blogger!!!

I used the Cutter Tool Kit on the edges of the main image only.

I used Dazzling Diamonds on the Ghost!!! hee hee

It's Summer Time Card Challenge at the Monkey Blog.

This week at A La Card Monkey we are doing a Summer card. I have a lot of Summer stamp sets, but I had never used the chair in this set called "Shore Thing". I love this stamp set because of that Darn little cute Crab!! I stamped him in Rose Red and put Wiggle eyes on him.

I used the DSP from the 2010 Summer Mini called "Island Oasis"

I used "Crystal effects" to put the "Mirco Beads on. I was trying to get the look of sand. I also used "Crystal effects" for the 3mm wiggle eyes.

I just love that little monkey picture that I found, and the sketch is great "thank you Terry Su".
This week make a summer card any image you like.
Put your greeting anywhere on the card.
Just take the sketch and Run with it.

The "Snappy Birthday" is from the stamp set "Crab & Company". I used the Movers and Shapers Scallop die on the big shot to get the Pumpkin pie Scallop.

I used 1/4 Grosgrain ribbon here. Three different colors White, Pumpkin pie and Tempting Turquoise. The Tempting Turquoise is a color that SU brought back this year and I still had some from a few years ago when the discontinued. My friends stared calling this the "Shirley Technique".
